OUR COMPANY

  • Solar and battery backup installations in the industrial and domestic market since 2014.
  •  We predominantly provide solar Photo Voltaic Electricity production which provide savings however we endeavor to approach with a cost-effective solution to your power utilization which includes insulation, lighting, gas equipment, solar water heating, but mostly a smart approach to power utilization.
  • We have our own teams of people including engineers, wiring technicians and fitting technicians.
  • We have  associate installation teams who assist when there are time or capacity constraints.
  • We are SAPVIA  members with a solar green card and P4 accredited.
  • We are accredited Hoymiles installers.
  • We have full medical certificates, well trained staff who are accredited for working at heights and with lifting equipment.
  • We pride ourselves on safe and neat installation work, plus operation and maintenance.

  • We are backed by external engineers, for structural assessments, solar specific engineering experts, electrical engineers

    certified to issue compliance certification, and IT integration experts who assist with mainframe monitoring.

  • PC Solar is a SME in good standing. Our Solar division is part of a  family company that started in 1947. It has close association with EMU Consultants, Heyl Engineering.

SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Only Tier 1 PV Modules/panels are supplied – generally come with a 25-year warrantee.
  •  PC Solar uses Monocrystalline Modules which are the most efficient energy  converters in their class for the price.
  • Inverters and switches generally carry a 1-year warrantee and all other equipment a 5-year product warrantee.
  • Workmanship is warrantied for 10 years for rust or corrosion.
  • Energy yield is guaranteed against Standard Test Conditions (STC of 1000Kwr/Kwp, 1m² of Module @ 25°C) after the system design requirements are specified and agreed, provided that a maintenance contract is entered into with PC Solar (Pty) Ltd especially recommended for systems 30Kw peak and more.
  • We only use grid tie systems with micro inverters for larger installations. String Grid tie systems are a little less costly, however far less accurate to trouble shoot and find problems.
  • String tie systems can utilize high DC voltages which can be dangerous if they are not fused correctly.
  • Micro Inverter Grid tie systems operate at 220v AC which is a lot safer.

  • PC Solar is well kitted out with safety equipment, inclusive of Fall Arrestors harnesses, lifelines and a scissor lift.
